We left Santa Fe fairly early as we had a 6+ hour drive to Williams, AZ.  We jumped on Interstate 25 south to Albuquerque then west on Interstate 40 all the way to Williams.

On the way to Williams we adjusted our plans and decided to skip the 2 days at the Grand Canyon.  We were getting tired and 2 days isn’t quite enough time to visit the Grand Canyon and it’s only about 8 hours from Laguna Beach.  So it will be easy for us to return at a later date and stay as long as we want.  So we will drive the 7 hours home tomorrow.

Williams is an old Route 66 throwback town.  We didn’t have enough time to walk through town but we did drive through as we went to the Grand Canyon Brewery and Distillery for a beer and dinner.  We were back in our hotel by the start of the 3rd game of the World Series started.  In case you were wondering we didn’t make it to the end of the 17 inning game.
