October 23rd

We joined our old friend Interstate 40 west to Santa Rosa, New Mexico.  We are now in the Mountain Time Zone.  We ate at a Mexican Restaurant, Silver Moon Café on old Route 66 with an attached curio shop that first opened in 1959.  Chili rellenos made with Hatch Chilies.  Delicious!

What a trip you’ve had and a lot faster coming home….Washington is absolutely fabulous with all the wonderful art venues and the magnificent architecture and all that history…I was totally blown away by the Capitol and the Smithsonian..& the National Gallery..too bad you didn’t get to see the Supreme Court building…I’ve only been there once but it is a big memory for me…probably more impressed by it than Manhattan…you may be back to LB by now….rest easy!!!
