This morning was our last day in Vermont. We were driving to Glens Falls, NY, just outside of Saratoga Springs because it was time to get the van serviced and Glens Falls had a Red Roof Inn. Red Roof Inn’s are cat friendly. Vermont has been tons-o-fun so we decided to drive down through the Green Mountains of Vermont then over to Glens Falls. It was a beautiful drive. South on State Hwy 116 continuing on to US Hwy 7 to Manchester where we picked up State Hwy 7A down to Arlington. From Arlington we went west on State Hwy 313 into New York. Once we were in New York we bobbed and weaved on all sorts of roads to Glens Falls. Vermont was very cool.
We checked into our hotel, I made an appointment for the van at the local Ford dealer then we drove downtown to the Davidson Brothers Brewery. Old town Glens Falls was nice and the Davidson Brothers Beer was good. Diane had been keeping in contact with a friend and fellow retiree from work, Karen, who was also travelling in the New England area. We kept crossing paths in our travels from Maine back to Vermont. Amazingly, Karen and her partner Kathy were also in Glens Falls that evening – so they joined us for a beer and dinner. We had a great visit as we all shared our travel experiences.
