Leaving Secaucus, NJ we stopped in Fort Lee for kitty treats and then it was off to Greenwood Lodge and Campground near Bennington Vermont.  We basically returned on the same route to Albany as we did coming to New York City, US Hwy 9W north.  It was a warm day, and somewhere near Kingston on the edge of the Catskill Mountains it started to rain, and a little while later as we were climbing a hill buckets of rain came pouring down.  We even pulled off the road and stopped for about 15 minutes.  Exciting.  In Albany we took State Hwy 7 towards Bennington, State Hwy 7 turned into State Hwy 67A at the border.

We arrived at Greenwood Lodge and Campground about 4:30.  The campground was fairly empty and we got a very nice campsite overlooking one of the ponds.  We set up camp, had dinner and when it got dark we climbed into our tent.
