We woke up to winds coming off of Lake Huron. I don’t know for sure but I would think easterly winds would be unusual. The surf was up and the sun was coming up which made for a couple of good photos. We packed up the van and headed for Sault Ste. Marie and Canada and eventually Niagara Falls.
The terrain through this part of Canada was very interesting after driving through a lot of forest land. It was rocky and not too many trees but still lots of water.
We wanted to stop in Toronto to be close to Niagara Falls so our first night in Canada was at Grundy Lake Provincial Park. With stops it was over a 7 hour drive. We even stopped in Sudbury to get Subway sandwiches for dinner. The campground was bustling. It was Saturday and maybe close to the last of the decent weather before winter sets in. There were lots of families, fishermen and canoe/kayakers. And Grundy Lake was picturesque.
Slinky is absolutely amazing…you guys have sure mentored her into a perfect travel companion…she was so lucky to have been adopted by D&D….
I agree with Max about the Slinkster.
I loved the pic of her sacked out on her “favorite bed” — LOL.
I have only been east on I-70 or I-80, and that was almost 50 years ago !!!
