We were off by 8:00 am to the Grand Teton National Park and then to Yellowstone National Park where Diane had booked us into the Bridge Bay Campground for the night. The smoke was lessening as we drove north threw Jackson and into the Grand Teton National Park. We were able to get some pretty nice pictures of this magnificent mountain range from all sorts of different angles. The Grand Teton peak is 13,775 ft. A little short of the 14,000 ft. club that I had previously mentioned about Mt. Rainier. That being said the Grand Teton is something you definitely want to see. We stopped at the Jackson Lake Lodge and Visitor Center to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat.
We ate our lunch waiting in the line to enter Yellowstone National Park. It was at least a 15 minute wait. We stopped and took pictures of the Snake River gorge and some of the other beautiful sites along the way to our campground. We even crossed the Continental Divide for the first time. Bridge Bay Campground is right next to Yellowstone Lake, has over 400 campsites and sits at an elevation of about 7,800 ft. Our campsite was on loop E with a view of the lake. We set up the camp and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon.
You made it to Yellowstone just after we left and made it back to Laguna Beach. Beautiful photos and glad you’re enjoying yourselves.
Great pics of the Big Tit mountains!
Just as I remembered them from 1966!
Your Yellowstone photos are awesome and the Grand Tetons are a magnificent sight…glad you are on the mark to see more exciting things…and brews!
