A not early enough start at 6:30 am left us spending an extra hour going through L.A. to get to I5 and head towards the Bay Area. We knew this would happen as Slinky doesn’t do too well leaving in darkness which is the only way to jet through L.A. from Laguna Beach without hitting traffic.
Semi-light traffic up I5 and through the Altamont Pass and Oakland on I580 and we even beat the rush our traffic on I80. Crossing the San Rafael Bridge cost $10 bucks now. WOW. We made it to the Samuel P Taylor State Park and our campsite under Redwoods and next to Lagunitas Creek by 3:30.
We tool a little walk with Slinky before dinner but she didn’t care for it much. But she was really happy when it was bedtime when we all slept together in the van.
