Belmont Stakes Day. After making my bets we loaded Slinky up in one of her carriers, where she is in a little pouch with straps to hold her in front of you. It is better for Slinky if I carry her and Diane leads the way so Slinky can see both of us. We made a small navigational mistake but backtracked and found the correct path and after about, you guessed it, 30 minutes we reached the 30 ft. waterfall. It was a nice little hike over meadows and large rocks and we made it back to camp to watch the Belmont Stakes. Yes, the marvels of technology continue to amaze me. Justify won the race wire-to-wire. Yaaay!
We took showers again today. Our RoadShower works well.
Our plan for Sunday is to get up a little early, have coffee and go see some of the largest trees on the planet. We talked with the campground host, Steve about an alternative route to see the trees without having to go back the way came into the campground. And, of course, he had one.
Again, a beautiful night.
You’re doing a GREAT job of catching up on your posts, Doug!
Oh, now everyone will know…
